This is the Teachers and Friends Book Club selection for December, chosen by Ms. Corrado. We read another Colgan book previously and this apparently was recommended by Amazon when she searched for Christmas-y. Mrs. Tirollo will be hosting, and her bus company is taking us on a field trip to look at lights.
This was a "beach read" in snow. A Hallmark movie but with a bookstore instead of a berry farm. It was rather meh in terms of character development, and the plot was quite surface level. That being said, it was warm and fuzzy, and well...Hallmark. A high street retail saleswoman loses her job, moves in to help her sister with the kids, gets connected with said sister's client who owns a failing bookshop. Save the relationship between the sisters, save the bookshop, fall in love. Again, Hallmark. Oh, and I despise the nanny. Annoying.
